Concept to Completion: #TimelessTwoStory Kitchen

Initial design concept mood board

Completed space

Introducing our latest project: #ProjectTimelessTwoStory. Today, we're delving into the heart of the home—the kitchen—to give you an exclusive glimpse into our design process from concept to completion.

Our primary goal was to create a kitchen that radiates warmth and brightness, while embodying timeless charm. To achieve this, we started with warm, white oak hardwoods to establish the foundation for the entire space. Next, we carried the white oak onto the floating shelves and island legs, providing visual relief amidst the abundance of white, while also adding texture and depth to the overall design.

When it came to the color palette, we opted for White Flour by Sherwin Williams on the walls and millwork, paired with Creamy White by Benjamin Moore for the cabinets. This subtle combination of hues adds depth without straying from the classic, white cabinet aesthetic. Centered in the kitchen, the hood commands attention with its bold scale-driven design, while maintaining a clean rectangular silhouette. Flanking each side of the hood, the white oak floating shelves establish a perfect vignette for decorative accents.

In a space dominated by matte finishes, the white glazed tile backsplash stands out as an intentional contrast, adding a glossy sheen (laid in a timeless subway pattern). The tile's uneven edges provide texture and contrast to the otherwise pristine surroundings, extending seamlessly around the shelves for maximum impact.

Warm, cream quartz countertops strike a delicate balance between the white backsplash and creamy cabinets. Gold hardware accents and statement brass pendants above the island complement the millwork details throughout the space—the island pendants feature charming chain details and opal glass globes, offering a timeless juxtaposition to the kitchen's contemporary elements.

Lastly, let's not overlook the stunning sconces flanking the hood. They consist of two round pieces of natural cream onyx layered organically to create a soft, sculptural visual. Each sconce is adorned with a single opal glass globe, resembling hanging works of art.

At its core, the kitchen design embodies a harmonious fusion of timeless elements and contemporary flair. By striking this delicate balance, we've curated a space that exudes modern freshness while radiating warmth, promising enduring appeal for years to come.
